As we all know the main source of waste heat in automobiles is the EXHAUST. Inspite of wasting the heat which heats up the atmosphere i thought of recovering it using a thermal diode.
The main thing is that we have to maintain temperature difference between two diodes. so the apt location for placement is the muffler. (see image below)
The size being small, a number of such diodes can be placed along it. The voltage output though small can be given to the alternator...
kindly provide some suggestions or alternate for this idea...
